Katharine Statz is a leader in the individual insurance industry attributable to her twenty-five years of experience and commitment to helping individuals and families navigate the ever-changing individual markets. Kay’s comprehensive needs analysis assesses a client’s risk tolerance, access to care concerns, budget and chronic medical concerns to ensure her clients are adequately covered. Kay takes pride in providing excellent service and is dedicated to using her experience and expertise to meet her clients’ benefits objectives. In order to provide clients with a seamless experience, she remains their main point of contact throughout the year to assist with billing inquiries, claim resolution and market enrollment changes. She proactively contacts clients prior to the renewal of their policy to discuss industry or network changes and to reevaluate their needs. Kay is a staunch advocate for individuals and family's access to quality, affordable healthcare with sufficient access to providers. Through her involvement with OAHUPAC, she campaigned in Washington D.C. on the challenges families are facing since the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Karla Bunjevac, VP of Risk Management for Statz and Associates, is a nineteen-year veteran in the insurance industry and has focused on risk management for commercial and individual clients for the past eight years. Karla leverages her vast knowledge of policy language, coverages, and markets to ensure clients are adequately protected at a competitive cost. As an advocate for her clients, she provides risk-reducing policies, programs, and comprehensive safety materials to reduce the chances of loss. Karla then uses these risk-reducing efforts to her clients’ advantage by educating underwriters and building positive carrier relationships on their behalf. Karla strongly believes she works for the client and not the insurance company. This belief led her to make an executive decision in 2011 to partner with SIAA for commercial insurance and personal lines. The partnership with SIAA provides clients with access to over 25 top rated insurance carriers and excess lines partners. In addition, the SIAA partnership alleviates having to place a client with a particular carrier in order to keep the market and guarantees clients will not be a part of a block transfer. Prior to joining Statz and Associates in 2000, Karla held senior management roles at local and regional mortgage brokerages. Due to her commitment to providing a superior client experience and her dedication to the success of her team, she received the Manager of the Year award. Bunjevac holds her property and casualty license through the state of Ohio.
